Natural Light Portraiture

This is where most photographers start, and unfortunately many never spend the time, to study light. This class is all about studying that light and learning how to use it. You will be shown classic lighting patterns as well as how to manipulate the light to benefit your images.

Portraiture in natural light done correctly has a softness that is unequaled; however you must know light in a very intimate manner to achieve results that are truly breathtaking. The Study of light and portraiture starts here. The class will go over how to control window light to your benefit, how we can modify natural light and all the particular parameters that the camera is capable of. We also begin the study of light and the relationships of light stops, and how to control the dynamic range to meet the camera's capabilities.

There is no better way to learn natural light photography than by watching and then doing. This class focuses on hands on learning with your camera and your gear. You will learn by doing, working with live models and a variety of lighting conditions.
